MegaCon wrap up

After a long but fully exciting MegaCon 2013, we are in the recovery stage of a great convention.  It was incredible to see each and every person that swung by the booth to see Amanda, Justin and Jimmy.  We couldn’t ask for a better set of friends and fans!  Below is just a sampling of the crew, friends and stuff that we had from the convention.

If you have any additional photos from MegaCon 2013, please feel free to send them to:  [email protected]

Thanks and we’ll see you next year at MegaCon!!!

Her artwork is amazing.

Proof Justin does exist at the same time Jimmy does.  **He’s not just a paid actor!

Told you, her artwork is amazing.

Proof that Dan Panosian is just one step away from the missing link…or maybe he is??  Check the man out at his website:  http://www.danpanosian.com/

Another great guy, Dave Johnson, is just pure fun…maybe there is a future for him!  Check him out at:  https://twitter.com/Devilpig666

And finally, what convention would be complete without Jimmy and some girls?

a range of topics and possibly get Tieri to do another shot of whiskey.

Big Batwing news

So, you might have heard the rumors but we can confirm that it is official.  Justin and Jimmy will be taking over Batwing for DC Comics.  Below are a few threads and articles talking about the changes:

We are extremely thrilled to be working on this book and like all our projects, we will be giving 100% of our efforts.

Lookout in March for those who participated in the Sex and Violence Kickstarter project, we are moving forward and will begin the process of distributing both the digital and physical books.

Also, for those fans in the Orlando, FL area (or traveling there), Mar. 15 to Mar. 17, several of the PaperFilms team will be in attendance at the MegaCon Convention.

If you are coming, make sure to swing by and say hello to Amanda, Justin, Jimmy and Frank.  This is a great chance to meet with them and for them to thank you for supporting their projects.

New West writer announced and more news around the web

One of the fun projects we were able to work on with the lovely and talented Phil Noto was our mini series called New West from Black Bull Publishing.  This was created in 2005 and is being produced by Benderspink, Len Wiseman and Gareb Shamus.

Well, Variety is reporting a writer has now been attached to the project, which is great news!

Additionally, make sure you swing by the Stranger Factory website.  Our Art of Narrative had a glorious turnout for both the exhibition and the storytelling workshop.  There are several items still available from the event for purchase.  You can check it out at their website.

Finally, we are hoping that some public notice of a new Facebook page will allow DC to consider publishing an Absolute Edition for Jonah Hex.  Again, we don’t control this but the more feedback they get, the better the chances are for this happening.  So if you find it in your liking, please add the page to your list and leave a comment!

TriggerGirl 6 from Image Comics

While we had to say goodbye to Creator Owned Heroes last week, we opened up the door to another project.  In March, we will be putting out a collection of the TriggerGirl 6 story by us and phenomenal artwork by the talented Phil Noto.  This will be coming out from Image Comics.

Below is an order form that you can take to your local retailer to ensure you get a printed copy of this book.  Can’t tell you how proud of this project we are and how much fun it was to finally see it in print.  Was a joy to work on.  So please, make sure you ask your retailer to order this book and if you can share it with others, we’re forever your friends!  Well, if you are coming here, we’re already your friends but even more good karma will come your way.

We have also started another Facebook fan page to see if there is any interesting in getting a Jonah Hex Absolute Edition out there.  This is totally in the hands of DC Comics, but we are hoping if there is enough support, it will garner the attention that this great character deserves.  Too many good stories from the past are just sitting out there waiting to be read and we’d love to have a big HC sitting on our selves just like you would.  So please join the group and post your comments.  These are noticed by DC.

Thanks again for everyone’s support!
